DigiSign is one of the main suppliers in the field of public key infrastructure (PKI) and information technology security services. DigiSign is a certification authority (CA) in Romania, using Verisign technologies and allowing businesses and consumers to communicate and trustfully conclude transactions through digital networks. DigiSign, as a VeriSign Affiliate Trust Network member, offers top products and services for the Romanian market and it is the ideal partner for the local setting of any and all IT solutions in the PKI field. DigiSign focuses both on techniques and infrastructure, as well as on operational development.

History

DigiSign was set up to cover the market needs in the field of IT security and public key infrastructure services, officially institutionalized in Europe and Romania through the EU Directive 99/93 and the Romanian Law no. 455/2001 on electronic signatures. Starting September 2009, DigiSign became part of the iNES GROUP portfolio, the largest independent company on the telecommunication market in Bucharest, offering business services, such as: dedicated optical fiber access, IP/VPN, landline telephony, Data Center (collocation, dedicated servers). For residential customers, iNES offers the first IPTV service in Romania – optical fiber digital television, including HD channels broadcasting.
